Shin-Enoshima Aquarium (2 Katase Kaigan, Fujisawa City) will hold a special event, “Godzilla vs. Enoshima: Enosui Monster Showdown,” from October 4 to November 17 to commemorate its 70th anniversary. The event was announced at a press conference held at Fujisawa City Hall on September 25. (Shonan Keizai Shimbun)

　Attending the press conference were Fujisawa Mayor Tsuneo Suzuki, Shin-Enoshima Aquarium President Kazuhisa Hori, and Fujisawa City Tourism Association Chairman Yuichi Yuasa. In the late 1970s, during the “Third Monster Boom,” Bandai's group company Popy's collectible toys, the “Great Saurus” and “King Saurus” series, are being reissued. The most distinctive feature of the series is the footprints molded on both feet of each character.
